Pagosa Springs

We un-circled the Vallecito wagons and headed overland to Pagosa Springs, Colorado about 65 miles away. Pagosa is a small mountain town in the San Juan Mountains, western gateway to the once feared Wolf Creek Pass and home to some geothermal hot water baths.

Little Valley

We stayed five nights at Blue Spruce RV Park above Vallecito (V-eye-see-toe) Reservoir north of Bayfield Colorado. Vallecito means little valley. The campground elevation is 7,980 feet so there were short periods of activity followed by lots of huffing and puffing.

Here for 3 nights. Beautiful RV Park next to Sky Ute Casino on Southern Ute Reservation. Level, asphalt sites with curbing and landscaping. Will have to try our luck at the casino before we leave. Beautiful views of snow covered San Juan Mtns (but melting fast). Enjoying the ride.
